When you call the 1450 health advice service, you generally only receive the most important information regarding data privacy to ensure that you are well informed as briefly as possible.

Purposes for which your personal data is processed:

Your data concerning health, your name, your address, your telephone number, and your social insurance number are processed for the administrative and technical further development and quality management of the services provided by the 1450 health advice service. Your call to the health advice service is recorded for quality and recordkeeping purposes. As health care and nursing professionals, the operators are obligated to maintain your confidentiality.

Sources of the data:

If you call the health advice service for yourself, your personal data is collected. However, you may not always call for yourself: It is possible that someone else will call on your behalf or that you will call on someone else’s behalf. The source from which data is collected is always the person who makes the call. No data is collected from other sources.

Legal basis for the processing of your data:

Because the data that is processed includes your data concerning health, your personal data is processed not only on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, but also on the basis of Art. 9 (2) lit. a GDPR, i.e. on the basis of your (explicit) consent. You express your explicit consent when calling the health advice service by pressing the 1 key.

You can revoke your (explicit) consent at any time without justification. After you revoke your consent, all stored data shall be deleted, but this shall not affect the legality of the processing of your personal data up until the time you revoke your consent. If you would like to revoke your (explicit) consent, please contact the responsible province or provincial health care fund.

Who receives your personal data (recipients):

For statistical purposes aimed at improving the health care system, your social insurance number as well as a sequential case ID number and a provider code – which is unique based on the province – for the purposes of identifying the sender shall be sent in an encrypted form to
